Nanyang Bridge Media Scores Big Win at the 2020 Morketing Awards together with Top Chinese Video Streaming Platform iQIYI and TikTok

Nanyang Bridge Media, along with top Chinese video streaming platform iQIYI, and short video platform TikTok, won the Top 10 Globalising Enterprise Growth Case Award for Overseas Innovative Marketing at the 2020 Morketing Summit and Morketing Awards held on November 26th – 27th, 2020.

Upholding our mission of promoting Chinese brands in ASEAN and vice versa through brand marketing, Nanyang Bridge Media helped  the Chinese brand, iQIYI, Asia’s leading streaming entertainment platform, build awareness, strengthen its brand image as the platform for latest Asian variety shows and dramas and engage with youth in Southeast Asia with the launch of iQIYIWithYou campaign across 5 countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. Besides a series of influencer marketing initiatives on Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, one of the main highlights of this campaign is the Hashtag Challenge #iQIYIWithYou launched in Thailand, on short video platform, TikTok, which is popular among Thai youth, between August 28th, 2020 until September 2nd, 2020.

In order to highlight iQIYI's positioning as an entertainment partner for Asian youth, #iQIYIWithYou integrates into its interactive stickers, thematic elements inspired by its variety shows and TV dramas that are popular in the region, so that TikTokers can participate in dramas and variety shows through dance interpretations of several KOLs, coupled with iQIYI's very own customized upbeat official music, thus giving users a memorable and immersive experience and create interesting content that help spread iQIYI’s brand image as a youthful, diverse entertainment platform with high-quality content.

Led by well-known local talents with a cool image and the appeal of the innovative elements of this hashtag challenge, #iQIYIWithYou was able to spark enthusiasm from Thai TikTokers to participate and garnered very good responses, attracting almost 80 thousand video submissions that reached nearly 130 million video views with 7 million engagements by the end of the six-day challenge, making it one of the most successful hashtag challenges on TikTok Thailand.

These impressive results led to the scoring of the Top 10 Globalising Enterprise Growth Case Award for Overseas Innovative Marketing at the 2020 Morketing Summit and Morketing Awards for iQIYI, TikTok as well as Nanyang Bridge Media as the agency responsible for planning to implement this campaign.
