Beijing, November 2, 2024 — Nanyang Bridge Media served as the event organizer for the Indonesia Movie Weekend Festival, held at Womei Cineplex, Chaoyang District, Beijing. The event was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Beijing, Adhya Pictures, and PT Senior Selalu Paham.
In its role, Nanyang Bridge Media was responsible for the overall conceptual planning, on-ground execution, and end-to-end event management, ensuring a professional and well-integrated experience for both audiences and industry stakeholders. This involvement reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to facilitating creative industry exchange between Indonesia and China.
The festival was to showcase Indonesia’s rich cultural landscape while strengthening its positioning as a strategic destination for international film production, particularly for the Chinese film industry.
Over the course of two days, four Indonesian films were featured: Kadet 1947, Glenn Fredly The Movie, Gampang Cuan, and Tulang Belulang. The event received strong audience turnout, with high attendance rates and positive responses from both viewers and invited guests.
As part of the program, an industry symposium was also held, bringing together key stakeholders from the Indonesian and Chinese film sectors. The forum served as a platform for strategic discussions on cross-border collaboration, including production, distribution, and ecosystem development.
Celerina Judisari, representative of the Indonesian Film Board (BPI), highlighted the importance of international collaboration in strengthening the industry’s competitiveness.
“International partnerships, particularly with Chinese counterparts, open up significant opportunities for the Indonesian film industry to grow, not only in terms of financing and distribution, but also in knowledge exchange,” she stated during the symposium.
Meanwhile, Shierly Kosasih, COO of Adhya Pictures, emphasized the value of direct industry engagement.
“Platforms like this enable industry players not only to showcase their works, but also to build long-term relationships that can lead to concrete collaborations in the future,” she noted.
Through the festival, Indonesia’s key advantages as a filming destination were also highlighted to international partners, including its rich cultural heritage, capable infrastructure and talent pool, as well as cost-efficient production environment.
As a company specializing in localization, advertising, and production, Nanyang Bridge Media continues to position itself as a bridge between the China and Southeast Asia markets. Its involvement in the Indonesia Movie Weekend Festival reflects the company’s broader mission to foster cross-border collaboration and unlock new opportunities within the global content industry.
