Nanyang Bridge Media was honored to attend “Harmoni Nusantara”, the Chinese New Year 2577 celebration hosted by the Democratic Party in Jakarta, a vibrant and historic event marking the party’s first celebration of Imlek.
The event, themed Together in Harmony, Stronger in Solidarity was designed as a reflection of Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity and national unity. In his remarks, Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono emphasized that the Democratic Party embraces all backgrounds and traditions, calling the party “a big home for diversity and unity”.
The celebration featured a range of cultural expressions, including traditional performances like barongsai. Indonesia’s 6th President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, added a personal and memorable touch by performing a song of his own composition during the evening.
