Nanyang Bridge Media

We at Nanyang Bridge Media (NYB) are honored to participate in the 7th ASEAN-China Media Week, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 26–27 June 2025—a milestone moment for regional media collaboration and cultural diplomacy.

This year’s Media Week, co-hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Culture, the Thai Media Fund, China’s National Radio and Television Administration, and the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, carries the theme “More Silk Road Cooperation, New Chapter Communication, Innovative Media Approach.” It is a timely celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Thailand–China Friendship, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The event aims to foster stronger media cooperation, deepen mutual understanding, and advance people-to-people exchanges across ASEAN and China.

Representing NYB at the event, our CEO, Gandhi went to Bangkok where we joined a wide range of activities—each contributing to the momentum of cross-cultural collaboration. We were warmly welcomed at the grand opening ceremony on 26 June, held at the Royal Thai Navy Auditorium. The evening featured vibrant performances from ASEAN artists and set the tone for what followed: a powerful showcase of how media can bridge diverse cultures.

On 27 June, we had the privilege to participate in the ASEAN-China Audio-visual Industry Cooperation Conference 2025 at the Shangri-La Bangkok Hotel. This high-level forum brought together top media executives from across ASEAN and Guangxi to explore new collaboration pathways in the film, broadcasting, and digital content sectors. It was within this environment of visionary dialogue that we proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sansha TV, formalizing our role as the production service partner for their upcoming international documentary project.

The documentary, which will delve into narratives around the South China Sea and the region’s interconnected future, represents a shared commitment between us and Sansha TV to produce content that informs, connects, and resonates across borders. With our experience in cross-border production and cultural storytelling, we are excited to bring this project to life alongside our Chinese counterparts.

In the afternoon, we also joined the 2025 China–ASEAN (Thailand) Film Cooperation Forum, themed “Exploring China–Thailand Co-Production.” The forum provided valuable insights into film incentives and production opportunities in both Guangxi and Thailand. Notably, we engaged in discussions with experts from the China Film Association and ASEAN stakeholders, reflecting on industry trends and future collaboration possibilities. This was followed by the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 China–ASEAN (Thailand) Film Showcase at SF World Cinema, where we attended the premiere screening of “HUANG WENXIU.”

The showcase will continue through 3 July, featuring a curated lineup of Thai and Chinese films that reflect the vibrancy and diversity of our shared cinematic landscape. It’s an excellent platform for creators and audiences alike to engage with meaningful stories from across the region.

These collective activities—the dubbing and broadcasting exchange programs, the ASEAN-China Young Hosts Camp, and other media-focused forums—underscore the growing momentum for deeper cultural integration and cooperation in the China–ASEAN media space.

Our participation in this year’s ASEAN-China Media Week was both meaningful and inspiring. We’re proud to be part of the growing cooperation between China and ASEAN, and we look forward to continuing our work on creative projects that bring cultures closer together.
